BDM3d has made the visuals that get buildings approved and sold since 2008, from Victoria, British Columbia.

We work as one team across several time zones. The artists who build our scenes have been with us for years, and each of them now runs a studio of their own inside our system.

When the work outgrew one pair of hands, we split it by craft. One studio took on the modelling so the renders could keep coming; another joined that can take a project from start to finish. Both work to the same standard and the same schedule.

That’s why the deadline holds. We have kept to it for as long as we’ve been doing this.

What we learned is that the image is the easy part. The hard part is everything around it: a scope that changes on a phone call, revisions nobody counted, approvals lost in email, an invoice that goes out late.

So we built StudioLink. It’s one place where the order, every comment, every approval and every payment live together, shared with everyone on the project. Our studios and our clients now work from the same record.
